Jim Mulé is entering his 7th season as the Head Coach of the Long Island Lizards. Since his first season in 2005, the Long Island native (East Meadow) has posted an overall record of 29-38, making the playoffs in 2005 and 2010. Mulé joined the Lizards in 2005 following four successful years with the Barrage organization, two as a player and two as an assistant coach. He helped lead the Lizards’ rivals to their first Major League Lacrosse title in 2004. Selected in the second round (12th overall) of the 2001 MLL Inaugural Draft, Mulé was the Barrage’s starting goalie for much of the 2001 and 2002 seasons. After his retirement following the 2002 campaign, he joined former Lizard Sal LoCascio behind the Barrage bench in 2003. He was a vital contributor to the team’s improvement from perennial last-place finishers to MLL Champions in 2004. Mulé was also a member of the U.S. team that defeated Canada two games to none to win the 1999 World Cup of Lacrosse. A 1990 graduate of St. John's University,. Mule currently resides in Dix Hills, NY with his wife, Jamie, and their three children.
The Lizards are lucky to have someone with as much coaching experience as John Espey on board. John has coached NCAA lacrosse for over 27 years, including 17 years at Stony Brook and 6 at Duke. Espey guided Stony Brook from Division III ranks to the NCAA Division I level. After taking over the program in 1988, he produced six winning seasons and, as a first year member of the America East in 2002, his squad went 10-7 en route to capturing the America East tournament championship and earning SBU's first-ever NCAA Tournament berth. Espey parted ways with the Seawolves after the 2004 season.
In Addition to his duties with the lizards, Espey is also currently serving as an assistant coach at the U.S Merchant Marine Academy.
Espey received his master’s degree in health and physical education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1976, while serving as a graduate assistant coach. He also serves on the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Ranking Committee. He is currently a tenured associate professor at Stony Brook, and currently resides in Commack with his wife Linda and their three children: Michelle, Kimberly, and John - a standout lacrosse player at Cornell.
Joe Spallina is in his second season coaching with the Lizards. Spallina is currently head coach of Adelphi University's Women's Lacrosse program, a post he has held since 2007. In 2008 and 2009, his Adelphi teams captured the Division II National Championship. Spallina is also a physical education teacher in the Rocky Point district and resides in Rocky Point with his wife, Marybeth, and their four children.
Todd Esposito is in his 4th year with the Long Island Lizards. Todd was the 1984 JUCO Player of the Year while attending Nassau Community College. Todd went on to graduate from the University of Virginia where he was an All American midfielder. Todd also played professionally for the New York Saints indoor team as well as playing club ball for North Hempstead, LI Hofstra and NYAC. Todd is also very involved with the Jr Lizard program. Todd makes his living working for Canon Business Solutions and resides in Garden City with his wife Suzanne and son Matthew.

Boone was a Founding Partner and Executive Director of the Baltimore Bayhawks, also serving as Director of Player Personnel. As a player, Boone attended Salisbury University and continued post collegiately to play for numerous club teams. Boone has coached on just about every level of lacrosse, including: Recreational, High School and College. Boone also created and co-hosted "Lax Talk", a radio show on WJFK and WNST in Baltimore.
Boone is a Commercial Real Estate Broker and Developer.
