How does someone who always feels that they have something to prove become one of the most recognizable faces in the game? How does a 37-year-old midfielder who was one of the first players to become part of the MLL in 2001 keep his passion burning? A competitive spirit, support of a very large family, and wanting to continually prove he belongs are what has kept Blake Miller going.

The Long Island Lizards are teaming up with Lisa and Tim Goettelmann to help support Monsters Kids. Monster’s Kids is a charity that Tim formed in 2009 to help support Schneider Childrens Hospital, which is the largest provider of pediatric healthcare Services in New York State.  For his work with Monster’s Kids and Schneider Children’s Hospital Goettelmann was named New Balance Sportsman of the Year in 2009.
