2008 Season: Vlahakis started off the season right by being named the MLL Defensive Player of the Week twice in a row, for Weeks 3 and 4. Winning the award again in Weeks 7 and 8, Week 8 after he broke the MLL's single game record with 35 face-off wins, Vlahakis now also holds the MLL's single season record with 4 Defensive Player of the Week awards. 2007 Season: Pete had another great year dominating the Face off X leading the league in with a 59.57 face off percentage. Vlahakis who missed four games due to injury was part of a duo with Joe Mascaretti that led the league in face off percentage. 2006 Season: Pete was a top face-off man for the Lizards winning over 60% of his face-offs. His standout game was against his old team the New Jersey Pride where he won 18 of 32 face-offs and tallied 2 goals. Peter Vlahakis joined the Lizards in 2006 after two seasons with the New Jersey Pride. 2005 Season:Pete split time with rookie Andy Corno.2004 Season: The Pride drafted Pete in the Fourth round of the 2004 Collegiate Draft and was immediately put into the lineup. He played all nine remaining games in the 2004 season, winning 107 of 199 face-offs.
At Virginia: He was named to the Division I All-New England Men's Lacrosse Second Team and was selected to play in the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association East/West Senior All Star game and was selected to play in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's 63rd annual North/South Classic as a member of the North squad. Vlahakisranked in the top-10 in the country in face-off win percentage all four years and finished this senior season rankedfourth in the country, boasting a .654 win percentage. A 2004 Preseason third team All-American, he also led the team and was eighth in the nation with 5.93 ground balls per game.
